Frequently asked questions
Where do the judgments come from?
From the judgment texts themselves: Indian Kanoon and the official eCourts open datasets for the Supreme Court and High Courts. CaseSaathi doesn't use headnotes, blogs or commentary, and every answer is drawn from the judgment you open.
What does the confidence percentage mean?
It is built from checks you can see: whether the passages behind an answer are found word-for-word in the judgment, whether they are the court's own findings rather than a party's arguments, and whether the whole judgment was read. Tap "Why X%?" under any answer to see the reasons. When it is low, read the highlighted paragraphs yourself.
Can I use Hindi or speak my question?
Yes. Type or speak in English or Hindi. Tap the microphone, choose English or हिंदी, and speak; answers come back in the language you asked in, with quotes kept word-for-word from the judgment. Voice works best in recent Chrome and Edge.
Is this legal advice?
No. CaseSaathi is a research aid to help you understand judgments faster. Professional judgment and verification against the certified copy remain with the advocate.
